Dear Friends, 

What a year it has been! 

In the spring, we celebrated our 10-year anniversary over Zoom not knowing whether we would ever be able to make music together in person again. We continued to vocalize and read through music on a weekly basis, checking in with each other during virtual GL Hour on Sunday afternoons. By October, we started rehearsing outdoors in small ensembles, distanced and masked, and put on our very first livestream singing a collection of Lamentations. And finally, just a few weeks ago, we presented Comfort & Joy, this year's livestreamed holiday concert and carol sing along. 

2020 demanded many things of us, among them creativity, spontaneity, the letting-go of expectations, forgiveness, kindness, and not giving up. Let us EXHALE THIS YEAR OUT and TAKE A NEW BREATH IN. One that is filled with life, light, health, and hope, so that we may sing a new song in 2021. 

On that note, I am thrilled to share some amazing news: 

Thanks to a wonderfully inspired and inspiring donor, we were able to commission OLA GJEILO to write a new choral composition for GHOSTLIGHT. The work is set to finish in the summer of 2022. 

Anything is possible. 

I am so grateful for our supportive community, and I am beyond blessed to work with singers who are not only talented and skillful, but caring and kind individuals. There is always so much love. Their trust in me as their conductor means the world to me and I am looking forward to the music we will make together in this coming GHOSTLIGHT decade.
